Jaguar Land Rover makes its revolution. As part of its strategy Reimaginethe manufacturer has signed a partnership with Nvidia to “transforming the modern luxury experience from 2025”.
In three years, all new Jaguars and Land Rovers will be equipped with the software platform Nvidia Drive. It will be able to manage all functions related to artificial intelligence, from monitoring the driver and passengers to visualizing the vehicle’s environment. Nvidia Drive will also be in charge of the vehicle’s active safety, autonomous driving and driver assistance.
This platform is based on two systems: Nvidia Drive Hyperion and Nvidia Drive Orin. The former is characterized as the “central nervous system” of the car, while the latter is the “artificial intelligence brain of the car”.
“Collaboration and knowledge sharing with NVIDIA is essential if we are to succeed in the Reimagine strategy and set new standards in terms of quality, technology and sustainability. Jaguar Land Rover will become the creator of luxury cars and services most compelling customers in the world. Our long-term strategic partnership with NVIDIA opens up tremendous potential for our future vehicles as the company continues its transformation into a truly global and digital organization.”

Jaguar Land Rover’s software experts will be in charge of optimizing their data solutions thanks to Nvidia DGX. The English manufacturer admits to being able to improve the driving assistance and autonomous driving systems throughout the life cycle of the vehicle thanks to remote updates.
Besides the software part, Jaguar is developing the platform that will underpin its electric cars in-house. In the past, the manufacturer has stated that from 2025, all these cars will be electricwhich is not the case of Land Rover which will continue to offer gasoline engines to its customers before switching to all-electric only much later.
