Born from the intention of a British tycoon not to let the original concept of the Land Rover Defender die, INEOS Automotive has just taken another decisive step in its affirmation as a car manufacturer, with the departure of the assembly line in Hambach, France, from first units of the Grenadier.
After having acquired the production facilities in Hambach from Mercedes-Benz in 2021, INEOS Automotive has just taken another step towards the objective of launching what will be its first car – the INEOS Grenadier. .
So far in the so-called “project” phase, the debut model of INEOS has just seen the first experimental production units completed (a total of 130), which will be followed by the assembly and launch of series vehicles, a stage scheduled for next July 2022.
However, already in March, INEOS Automotive plans to start the process of validating the assembly process, as well as the quality of construction, even before the launch of production of series vehicles, the validation of the supply chain, logistics and production cadence.
