THE Hyundai faithfully follows its schedule and prepares the second model of the electric family Ioniq which is none other than Ioniq 6. His older brother Ioniq 5 will be presented at the end of 2022 and will be available in European markets in early 2023.

The design of the new Ioniq 6 will be largely based on the original Prophecy concept of 2020, which was its forerunner. As we can see from the spy pictures, the proportions of the original are preserved, while the strong inclination of the roof backwards with the Ioniq 6 to paint a very futuristic picture.
Technically, the Ioniq 6 will be based on the platform for electric models E-GMP of Hyundai Groupwhich are also used by Ioniq 5 and KIA EV6. The 800 volt batteries will enable its model Hyundai to be charged in 350 kW quick chargers and in this case, it will take just 18 minutes to charge from 10 to 80%, while with just 5 minutes of charging it will offer 100 km of autonomy.
As the Korean company announced last year, its battery Ioniq 6 will have a capacity of 73.0 kWh, while it will be available in two power versions. The first will have an electric motor of 218 hp, while the second will be four-wheel drive, therefore with two electric motors, one on each axle and will produce a combined power of 313 hp. In terms of autonomy, the goal of the people of the company is to exceed 480 kilometers.
The debut of the Ioniq 6 is set for the end of 2022.
