Lexus announced the start of accepting orders for the new generation LX SUV in Russia. The car, which premiered last fall, did not linger on its way to an important market for it: in its homeland, Japan, sales began just a couple of weeks ago. LX is offered to Russians in several levels of equipment, including the new ultra-luxury VIP and VIP Black, with two engines and a price tag of 8,522,000 rubles. For comparison, for the “outgoing” third-generation LX, they ask from 7,909,000 rubles.
The Lexus LX is based on the same GA-F platform as the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. There are two engines in the engine range: a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 petrol version received a version with the LX 600 index, and the LX 500d is equipped with a diesel 3.3. Both motors work in tandem with a 10-band AJA0F automatic, all-wheel drive with a locking center differential.

In the starting version, the Executive LX is equipped with three-lens LED headlights, two Smart Keys and a Start&Stop system. The interior is trimmed with ebony Shimamoku inserts, on the center console of the panel there is a 12.3-inch touchscreen and an additional seven-inch display. The driver’s seat is 10-way adjustable, the front passenger seat is eight-way, and the second-row backrests fold 40:20:40.
Already at the start, the Lexus Safety System +, an air ionizer, four-zone climate control and a number of assistants, including the Multi-Terrain Monitor off-road assistance system with four cameras under the bottom, were announced at the start.
The Premium package received closers for all doors and the opportunity to decorate the interior with brushed walnut inserts. The second row seats are electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated, and there is an armrest for the driver with a cooled tank. Also starting with this version, the LX is equipped with a 25-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound System.
The next version, Luxury, can be recognized by 22-inch two-tone forged wheels instead of alloy wheels. The cabin features the same walnut as the Premium version, as well as sumi ebony decor, and a 10-inch head-up display (HUD) has been added to the equipment list. The Luxury+ trim, available only on the petrol LX, adds power third-row seats, as well as additional air vents and a USB-C port for rear passengers.
At the top of the range are the VIP and VIP Black trims, also available only for the LX 600. They feature 22-inch chrome wheels, separate second-row seats with a massage function and electrically adjustable “memory”, deflectors in the ceiling that create a “waterfall effect” with air flows. Also in the second row there is a control panel for climate control and other functions and two 11.6-inch displays. The interior is trimmed with elite leather with diamond-shaped stitching.
The most expensive VIP Black, in addition, received a darkened decor made of shimamoku wood. It is also possible to order inserts with a takanoha pattern inspired by the eagle’s plumage.
Heavyweights: considering the competitors of the new Lexus LX
