The European Automobile Manufacturers Association publishes very interesting data on the number of cars in circulation in EU countries, including of course Greece.
The number of passenger cars in circulation in its countries is constantly increasing The European Union, according to official figures of the European Automobile Manufacturers Association, ACEA.
The 2020, last year for which there is complete data, were on the streets of the EU 246,345,770 passengers, 1.2% more than the 2019 (243.491.725).
The biggest “active” fleet car had the Germany with 48.248.584 (+ 1.1%), followed by Italy and France with 39.717.874 (+ 0.4%) and 38.346.266 (-0.3%) respectively. In fourth place is the Spain with 25.169.158 (+ 0.6%) and the top five is completed by Poland with 25.113.862 (+3,1%).

In Hellas the circulating passenger cars the 2020 amounted to 5.315.875, number increased by 1,3% compared to 2019, when they existed 5.247.295. Our country is in middle layers of the list, having on its roads more cars from many countries of the European Union.
It is noted that space 2016-2020, knew the number of cars circulating in Greece successive annual increases, excluding of the year 2018 when the passenger fleet also decreased compared to 2017 – from 5,169,026 to 5,164,183. The 2019, however, there was a large increase in 5.247.295 something that went on and on 2020, with the number being set to 5.315.875.
Him smaller fleet had the Luxembourg with 435.989 passenger (+ 2.3%), Cyprus with 578.158 (+ 1.0%) and h Latvia with 672.962 (+2,4%).
