Porsche has announced that it is upgrading the multimedia system on some of its models, with a significantly upgraded look and functionality.
In its sixth generation, its entertainment and multimedia system Porsche will offer new features and excellent aesthetic appearance.
Music lovers and leading podcasters 911, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan will have the opportunity to discover the new possibilities offered by PCM 6.0, which, among other things, gives direct access to Spotify. Customers can link their account directly to their vehicle using the app Porsche to have direct connection to all forms of multimedia interface.
All required data is included in Porsche Connect and the application displays all playlists, making them available in the car. Its owners Taycan will benefit from an updated map that will take care of the car charge information on the way to the desired destination. An optimized algorithm gives priority to stations with chargers from 150 kW and above.
The program takes into account the time required for the start and finish of the charging process, within the total time to complete the journey from the start to the arrival at the destination. According to Porsche, these improvements were based on customer feedback and needs, in order to be the best possible for each case.
The PCM 6.0 has also been revised in what has to do with its appearance. The new color icons make it easy to recognize the functions, while for those who prefer voice commands, the Porsche improved and Voice Pilot to facilitate their use. The PCM 6.0 will be released as standard on all new models 911, Taycan, Panamera and Cayenne, with its availability in cars under construction to begin within the next two months.
