Just a few weeks after the presentation of the Alpine A110, the French Gendarmerie is electrifying, with a fleet of new 225 hp Peugeot 3008 hybrids. The first 395 units have already been delivered and are ready to go into action across the country.
This is not the first collaboration of the manufacturer at the Lion with the police, since last year, Peugeot 5008 had already joined the ranks. But it was then 1.2 PureTech 130 hp versions with manual transmission and Business finish.
This year, the Gendarmerie wanted to begin a process of electrifying its fleet of vehicles, while respecting the environment and public tranquility. The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid 225 can count on a rechargeable powertrain with a 13.2 kWh battery for a range of 56 km with zero emissions, all managed by the modern eAT8 automatic transmission.
Aesthetically, the new SUVs are characterized by the typical blue color and the official National Gendarmerie livery. Each car is also equipped with a specific luggage compartment containing everything necessary for ordinary and extraordinary operations.
The new vehicles are produced at the Stellantis plant in Sochaux, then transformed by the EGP in Hordain, a referenced coachbuilder for all of the Group’s screen-printed vehicles.
