Bentley’s first mass-produced electric car will be based on some new platform designed specifically for green cars. Perhaps we are talking about the Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) architecture of the Volkswagen Group, which includes Bentley: it is also planned to be used for Volkswagen’s technological flagship Trinity. The debut is scheduled for 2026.
Earlier it was reported that Bentley could enter the segment of electric cars with a sedan with a “high seating position”, due to the need to place a large battery under the floor. It is likely that the novelty will be similar to the 2019 EXP 100 GT four-engine electric concept car, which is capable of traveling up to 700 kilometers without recharging. However, the company has not yet disclosed details about the model.
