After the Cross Turismo, Porsche has just extended the range of its 100% electric model, the Taycan, with the introduction of the new Sport Turismo. A proposal that seeks to combine the greater versatility offered by the Cross Turismo, with the road performance of the Taycan saloon. Arrives from February.
Third member of a zero-emissions family, but unquestionably sporty, the Taycan Sport Turismo stands out, according to its own Porsche, for a functional design, plus the same descending roof line debuted on the Cross Turismo. Available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions, Sport Turismo also presents a new roof with brightness control and electrical glare protection, thanks to nine individually controllable sections. Also noteworthy is the voice assistant, Voice Pilot, which now shows a better understanding of the driver’s instructions, while the route calculation system is now faster, in addition to using online search to find points of interest (POI). It also displays information more clearly.
Also improved was the Charging Planner, enabling more efficient fast charging planning, avoiding short charging stops, while being able to filter charging stations by performance class.
As for the batteries, the highlight is the fact that Porsche proposes this Sport Turismo with two types of battery, allowing charging from five to 80 percent in 22 minutes and 30 seconds. It only takes five minutes to get enough energy to cover 100 kilometers.
Five versions, prices from 90 thousand euros
With expected arrival on the national market as early as February 2022, but only in the GTS version – the rest should only start to arrive from March -, the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo is announced with five versions, with different configurations, batteries and prices.
